Carlight Caravans has announced plans to launch a brand new range of entry level caravans, with prices starting at just £17,995.

The prestigious marque was revived last year with new models going into production for the first time in ten years.

But the prices, which started at around £35,000 for the single-axle Commander, proved to be prohibitive for many.

Now the company, which is widely known as the Rolls Royce of caravanning, has now decided to branch out, in the hope of convincing even more families to realise their dream of owning a brand new Carlight.

Details of when the range will arrive are not yet confirmed, and at the time of writing Carlight are not confirmed as an exhibitor at next month's NCC National Motorhome and Caravan Show at the Birmingham NEC.

As a result, it seems likely that Carlight fans will have to travel to the company's headquarters in Lincolnshire to get a first glimpse of this new collection.

A statement on the company's website read: "From this September we at Carlight are introducing a new entry level range just in time for next year's season, please call for further details."
