Nestled in countryside just a short walk away from the beautiful market town of Barnard Castle, the site in Teesdale is a beautiful destination ideally situated for those looking to explore the outdoors and nearby historical sites. The exceptional ruined castle itself is not to be missed, while the Bowes Museum is also within walking distance and has a range of kids' activities alongside the more grown-up exhibitions.

With just 76 hardstanding pitches, Barnard Castle is a relatively quiet site, but on-site amenities are first rate. Open only to Caravan Club members, it has family washrooms, a toilet block and laundry facilities, while Wi-Fi connectivity is also provided and caravanners are just a short walk from local transport links. A handful of serviced pitches are available and pets are welcome.

Pitch fees cost between £5.90 and £9.90 per night depending on the season, with rates per person charged in addition. For adults these begin at £5.90 and rise to £7.80, whereas for children it costs between £1.55 and £3.10.
