The family-friendly Caravan Club Site at Uttoxeter Racecourse is a popular location that is often used by people heading to Alton Towers Theme Park because of its close proximity to the tourist attraction. If you want something a little more relaxed, however, Sudbury Hall in Derbyshire and Croxden Abbey in Staffordshire are both close by and offer the chance to take in a spot of culture and history.

The site has 76 grass pitches available between March and November and welcomes campers as well as caravanners. Amenities at the site, which is next door to the race course and gets visitors free entry, include a toilet block and waste disposal system as well as a laundry room.

In terms of prices, pitch fees start at £4.50 per night and rise to £6.30 at peak times, though during certain midweek dates are subject to a half-price discount. Children cost between £1.10 and £1.85 per night, while for adults the rates range from £3.55 to £5.20.
