Operating out of the UK since 2005, Teardrop Trailers offer a compact and lightweight option for those looking for an impulsive weekend getaway

With weights starting at just 293kg, these tourers can be towed by a whole range of compact cars, from a VW Beetle to a Honda Civic.

Part of the reason these British-made trailers are so light is the fibreglass construction, which also results in great protection against water ingress.

On-board features include a rear kitchenette counter for preparing food, which is secured by a lockable hatch. Furthermore, the large entry doors have sliding glass windows and provide easy access and ventilation.

A tilt-up roof vent with fly screen and night blind provides even more airflow, while the interior is fitted with an attractive overhead storage cabinet with doors.

Furthermore, all three models in the Teardrop Trailers range feature a large 2m mattress and 1.1m of internal headroom.

Finally, an AL-KO approved rubber torsion axles and an AL-KO approved hitch ensure a smooth towing experience.

Model Weight RRP
Cargo 293kg £3,995
Turtle 1200 433kg £5,495
Turtle 1500 490kg £5,995

Self levelling technology: Why is there not more of it out there?

Self levelling systems are popular with its users but there are only a few caravan and motorhome models that offer the technology

The caravan and motorhome industry are amazingly early adopters of technology, and modern leisure vehicle specifications are incredibly high. Some leisure vehicles have more specification than the average home, boasting huge fridges, solar panels, alarm systems, satellite dishes, LED touch lighting, even underfloor wet central heating in some models.

Bailey relocates its Large Panel Laminating Plant to Somerset

The new plant is housed in a modern 3,250+ sqm manufacturing building

Bailey of Bristol has relocated its Large Panel Laminating Plant to a new site in Clevedon, North Somerset, as part of a larger scheme to enable the future re-development of the company's South Liberty Lane production facility. This is the second business unit to be moved from the main site following the relocation of the Bailey Parts Direct operation to North Bristol twelve months ago.
