BBC celebrity Matt Baker makes sure The Caravan Club's Club Day gets off to a flying start

The Caravan Club and celebrity Matt Baker have welcomed visitors to the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Keen outdoors enthusiast, Baker, took to The Caravan Club's main stage to welcome guests on the The Club's official Club Day, speaking on his love for the great outdoors and passion for everything holidaying within the UK has to offer.

On his relationship with The Caravan Club and the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, taking place now until 28 February, presenter of BBC's The One Show and Countryfile, Baker, told a massive crowd gathered at The Caravan Club stand: "I love to come to places like this and meet all of you, and I find it incredibly inspiring, especially at this time of year when the year's about to kick off and you're planning all of your adventures and what you're about to do. There's a real buzz in the room at this time of year so, for me, it's great to be here and to sense all of that excitement.

"I grew up in a world for me that was just full of adventure, and I could wander as far as I wanted to, climb anything, and I had a real practical upbringing," Baker continued. "And so, for me, this show and The Caravan Club, and the ethos of trying to give a kind of protected environment that you all have with your caravans and your motorhomes or whatever it is and going out into that adventurous world, exploring the world around us really is something that I feel very very strongly about."

Don't worry if you missed meeting Matt Baker on The Caravan Club's Club Day though. There's still plenty to do and see on The Caravan Club stand and the Club will be on hand for the duration of the show to welcome visitors as always.

We Meet Kampa at The NEC

Kampa pull out all the stops this year at the NEC

Having recently invested in an air awning, gone are the days where I want to use any other method for awning erection, I can safely say I wish I bought one years ago. Now that I have one I want to look into buying a larger one that can be used all year round and has multiple functions. Motorhome and Caravan Show will surely have what I am looking for.
