Residents in Inverkip, Scotland, watched on in horror as a camper van explosion took part of the roof off a nearby house.
The vehicle was parked on the driveway of the property in Findhorn Road when it caught fire and blew up on Thursday morning (18 April), leaving just a shell of the motor home left stood in its place, the Scotsman reports.
Thankfully nobody was injured in the incident but a number of people had to be evacuated from nearby homes on the street.
Neighbour Howard Pentland, told the news provider: “The fire brigade were here all night. It was a full-blown fire. I would say the house will have to be bulldozed. It’s just lucky no one was hurt.”
It is believed that a gas canister inside the camper van exploded leading to the fire spreading to the house. This serves as a warning to all tourer owners to be extremely careful when storing their vehicle.
