A caravan worth somewhere between £7,000 and £8,000 was stolen from a home in the quiet residential setting of Eastbourne in Chichester last weekend.
Police are now calling for help in nabbing the tourer thieves, who made off with the vehicle some time between 5pm on Friday 15 February and 11am on Saturday 16 February.
Measuring 22ft in length, the magnolia Bailey Pageant Vendee single axle caravan had been positioned just off Fletchers Lane in Sidlesham at the time of its theft.
It was positioned alongside a number of other caravans, though his was the only one taken in the raid, as the Chichester Observer reports.
The caravan belonged to tourer enthusiast Mark Chatfield, who revealed in a depressing twist that the thieves “chucked everything out [of the caravan]” meaning they “can’t identify it from our belongings”.
Police did reveal that the vehicle had a security number VIN of SGBSCO7BY505049156 on the windows. The search continues…
