A caravan park in Boston, Lincolnshire, has been awarded a five-star rating from VisitEngland putting it among the nation’s elite holiday destinations.
The success of the Long Acres caravan park is testament to the hard work of family owners John and Tracey Plant who took over the site a year ago.
Boston Target reports that the couple are life-long caravanners and quit their jobs to turn the struggling park into an adults-only destination.
The site was given the award for friendly service by VisitEngland and Mr and Mrs Plant hope that the accolade can help to attract more visitors to Boston and the holiday park.
Mr Plant told the news provider: “Tourism is very important to this part of Lincolnshire, so I hope that many other local businesses will also feel the benefit of our achievement.”
VisitEngland assess the overall quality of a site before awarding any type of accreditation. The four and five star awards separate the best from the rest.
