Any caravanners looking forward to seeing the range of improvements made to the Caravan Club’s Brecon Beacons park will have to wait a little longer after plans were put on hold.
The site, which previously operated as Brynich, was due to re-open in the summer following completion of the work on the site, that would have seen improvements made across the facility.
However, while advisers have noted that the scheme is likely to receive formal backing from the authorities, no official go-ahead has yet been given.
And with the team at the Brecon Beacons facility eager to ensure the initiative does not affect business levels over summer 2013, they have moved to delay the redevelopment work.
Under the new plans, the building work will begin in October, with a view to be ready for the start of the 2014 caravan season.
In the short-term at least, the site will be open for the start of the upcoming season and is keen to attract visitors for the previously busy Easter holiday period.
