Essex Police on the hunt for micro caravan thieves

Essex Police are on the hunt for the thieves that stole a distinctive caravan from outside a home in Springfield.

Officers are out in force for the missing micro caravan which stands at 8ft in length and 5ft 5ins in height. It was taken from the driveway of a property in Storms Way between midnight and 9am on 5 March, Chelmsford Weekly News reports.

The vehicle is very distinctive in its appearance with a white colour and a red and grey pattern painted onto it.

Anyone with information should contact PC Carly Dixon at Chelmsford police station on 101 or can alternatively ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. All calls will be taken anonymously and will help officers with their ongoing investigation.

The Essex County Standard recently reported a similar incidence in Southminster where a granddad was left stunned when thieves made off with his cherished possession in broad daylight on 4 March.
