Salop Leisure employees take to 10k run in Shrewsbury
A team of runners from an award-winning caravan dealership have completed a ten kilometre road race in Shrewsbury.
The nine-strong team of employees from Salop Leisure joined 991 additional runners for the Mercedes Benz Shrewsbury 10K, organised by Ultimate Fitness Experience, and were led by Salop chairman Tony Bywater.
First of the Salop Leisure runners to complete the course was Will Butler, who completed the run in 50 minutes. This was closely followed by team mates Jordan Smedley, Andy Davis, Beth Edwardes, Ed Glover, Dylan Roberts, Tanya Bebb, and Scott Higgins.
“We were delighted to support the race, which is good for the town’s profile and promotes health and fitness amongst the citizens of Shrewsbury,” said Tony Bywater. “There are massive personal benefits associated with fitness and good health.
“Improved fitness has been shown to improve concentration levels and productivity, as well as making individuals feel better about themselves.”
