North Wales Police were forced to close a section of the A55 yesterday (11 November) after a Land Rover that was towing a caravan clashed with a Renault Clio on the busy stretch of road.
The authorities were called to the scene of the crash, between Aberegele and Colwyn Bay, early in the afternoon.
They were greeted by the sight of debris spread across both sides of the busy carriageway which ultimately forced them to close the road while a cleanup crew cleared away the potentially problematic wreckage.
According to BBC News, the crash occurred on the eastbound carriageway when a Land Rover and its accompanying caravan collided with the small hatchback.
Three people suffered minor injuries and were subsequently taken to the Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in Bodelwyddan.
The story serves as a timely reminder of the importance of staying aware when driving and towing a caravan, with tiredness among the most common causes for crashes in the UK today.
