Ardgartan campsite is a smaller site, with 100 pitches which are made up of standard, premium and select pitch types. Located between Loch Long’s shore and the Argyll Forest Park, visitors will get beautiful views of both the Loch and the nearby mountains.
Ardgartan provides the perfect backdrop for those wishing to relax and enjoy the scenery, but also caters for active holidaymakers as it is on the main route to Oban with additional routes up to Ben Arthur and several Munros (mountains over 3,000ft) nearby. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in mountain biking and various water sports as well as Ranger Activities on the site itself.
Nearby attractions include the Loch Lomand Sea Aquarium, Inveraray Castle and the seaside resort of Helensburgh, which has a range of shops and restaurants and activities such as golf, tennis and bowling.
The site is well equipped with toilets and shower blocks as well as a shop and café. Dogs are welcome on site and a recent refurbishment means all the facilities are in top condition. Prices start from £15.00 per night for a standard pitch in the low season, £20.00 for premium and £22.50 for a select pitch. During the high season this rises to £19.00 for standard, £24.00 for premium and £26.50 for a select pitch, for two adults. Camping and Caravanning Club members receive a discount of £3.50 per night and families can get a discount of £1 per night.
