Clarkson in Top Gear caravan rant

Jeremy Clarkson had another rant at caravan owners this month

Regular viewers of BBC motoring show Top Gear will already know the team have a love-hate relationship with caravans.

Yet in a recent episode of the award-winning show, presenter Jeremy Clarkson made another gaffe about the caravan community.

He claimed that “nobody who tows a caravan has had any training”, which is why in his words, “they clog up the British countryside all summer long.”

The Caravan Club were quick to respond to Clarkson’s comments.

They are the UK’s largest providers of caravan training, and pointed out that the Club puts 2,500 willing caravanners through courses every year.

The latest Top Gear challenge saw the team build their own motorhomes for a road trip to a Cornwall caravan site. And the trip predictably ended in chaos.
