Uneven wheel balancing is a problem that you would be more likely to associate with your towcar than your caravan, but it can be just as serious for tourers.
With badly balanced wheels, a caravan can vibrate strongly and this can significantly reduce the lifespan of your bodyshell.
However, this fault isn’t as immediately noticeable as it is when a car’s wheels are unbalanced, so carrying out regular wheel balancing tests is very important.
In this video, we meet Richard Moorse from Wheel Solutions, who explains that these checks needs to be carried out whenever you change a wheel and during your annual service.
We also take a look at the company’s state-of-the-art machine, which uses lasers to measure the exact dimensions of the wheel and tyre assembly.
